High-pressure radiator rinsing can bend fins, weaken seals, and cause leaks, leading to costly repairs and downtime. Our Radiator Rinse with Steam service uses controlled steam cleaning to break down and flush out debris without damaging sensitive parts. Whether you need routine maintenance cleaning or a full restore after heavy use, we bring the expertise and proper equipment to get it done safely and effectively.
How it works
- Controlled steam cleaning that breaks down and flushes out debris
- No bent fins, weakened seals or leaks from high-pressure rinsing
- Routine maintenance cleaning
- A full restore after heavy use
Common questions
General information, not a compliance determination for your site.
Radiator fins are thinner than a pressure-washer jet is forceful. High-pressure rinsing flattens them, and a flattened fin passes no air, so the core looks cleaner and cools worse. It can also weaken seals and cause leaks. Fin damage is not recoverable by cleaning — restoring airflow then means re-coring or replacing the radiator.
Controlled steam softens and breaks down oil-bound debris so it can be flushed out of the core, at a pressure that leaves the fins and seals intact. The aim is a core that actually passes air again, not just one that looks clean.
Typical signs are equipment that runs hotter than it used to, cooling that struggles under load, and visible dust, chaff or oily build-up packed into the core. If a radiator still runs hot after being pressure washed, the fins may have been damaged by the wash itself.
